NORMVL presents the second instalment of Not The Old One, an evolving live music experience led by Soweto-born trumpet player NU-BAM, continuing his mission to reimagine jazz for a new generation.
Rooted in Dobsonville and shaped by a blend of jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B, and lo-fi influences, NU-BAM represents a new wave of artists expanding the sound and context of jazz beyond its traditional boundaries. Not The Old One is more than a show, it’s a growing platform for this movement.
Following a powerful first edition, #2 takes shape at The ClubHaus in Greenside, once again transforming a non-traditional space into a listening room for live music, culture, and connection.
