R80 – R160The PANGEA STRING QUARTET (PSQ) is a chamber ensemble based in Johannesburg. The group aims to inspire and engage audiences by performing important works in the string quartet repertoire. The PSQ members are dedicated to their craft, constantly seeking new insights and drawing on their individual experiences to create a unique and cohesive interpretation of the music they perform. The quartet’s name, “Pangea,” refers to the hypothesised single supercontinent before the continents separated. This name reflects the group’s commitment to working as one unit with mutual respect, fostering open discussion, and pursuing excellence without boundaries.
