Phosho Lebese

Phosho Lebese is a distinguished South African drummer and percussionist, trained at the University of Cape Town. He has performed globally with notable South African musicians and major productions, including Disney’s The Lion King across South Africa, Taiwan, Singapore, Manila, Busan, Seoul, and Daegu, as well as the Gumboots World Tour and Taproots. His diverse experience includes the North Sea Jazz Festival, St. Louis Jazz in Senegal, and the Divas of Kofifi theatre production. Recently, he toured with Disney’s international tour (2018-2019) and showcased his band at the Ubuntu Festival in Pretoria’s Freedom Park. His band, known for its afro-jazz and South African melodies, unites people from various backgrounds, celebrating the country’s rich musical heritage.
