R250 – R300Join us at Erin Hall in Rondebosch on Friday the 8th of November as we pay a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Miriam Makeba, the incomparable “Mother of African Music.” A luminary of global music, Makeba’s soulful voice and unwavering spirit captivated audiences worldwide, becoming a powerful symbol of resistance and hope.
We’ll be taking you on a musical journey through the life and legacy of this iconic artist, featuring a stellar band led by a rising star in the South African Jazz scene, Thandeka Dladla. The show will transport you to the heart of South Africa, celebrating Makeba’s timeless classics and her enduring impact on music, culture, and social change.
Thandeka’s accompanying band are no strangers to South Africa’s biggest stages, performing for local legend, Mandisi Dyantyis, along with a variety of other notable artists such as Bra Herbie Tsoaeli and Judith Sephuma.
From the raw emotion of “Pata Pata” to the anthemic power of “Click Song,” this unforgettable evening will showcase the breadth and depth of Makeba’s artistry. Through music, dance, and storytelling, we will honour her unwavering commitment to social justice and her unwavering belief in the power of human connection.

· Ticket price excludes a minimal ticket admin fee.
· No reserved seating and will be on a first come basis.
· It is a pop-up space, therefore no cash bar or restaurant available. We will however have limited light snacks available, as well as some wine courtesy of Beau Constantia. For the rest, you are welcome to BYOB.
· Miriam Makeba vinyl and cd’s will be for sale. We accept card, cash and snapscan payments.
