Playlist: Second Sunday Vol.1
Growing up Sundays were synonymous with soul; first with church and then a hearty meal to the sounds of Aretha Franklin, Brook Benton and Dobie Gray, to name but a few.
As I grew older I realised that this Soul Sunday tradition was not unique to my family. My neighbours followed a similar itinerary, so did my friends’ families, and even strangers whose experiences I have only seen on the Web. I love the easy feeling of Sundays, which is why we’re paying it forward with this new playlist series titled Second Sundays.
Beyond enjoying the selections we will be sharing with you, I hope you will create new memories to old songs.
